Who is a Homejoy QA Automation Engineer?

You’re entrepreneur minded and passionate about developing testing procedures and executing test cycles in short release cycles on both web & mobile. You have some coding background and believe that websites & products should operate flawlessly. You thrive in a rapid pace agile development environment.

What you will do:

* Take the lead role in managing the QA process - you get to build it from the ground up! * Effectively communicate with product and design during new feature reviews and throughout product development * Propose tradeoffs and provide risk assessment to stakeholders as necessary * Verify, document and manage report of software bugs

Here’s what we’re looking for:

* 2+ yrs working as a QA automation engineer, preferably in a fast growing startup * Take the lead role in managing the QA process - you get to build it from the ground up! * You have worked on a small QA team - embracing the challenge of driving white box testing in addition to writing automated test cases * Effectively communicate with product and design during new feature reviews and throughout product development * Ability to propose tradeoffs and provide risk assessment to stakeholders as necessary * Verify, document and manage report of software bugs * You’re fast - you walk the fine line between getting products out the door and testing them to perfection * You’re opinionated and care intensely about the little details that make a great user experience * Experienced in programming languages * Bachelors in CS, or equivalent experience Startup DNA a must

Bonus Points:

* Python experience * Testing mobile applications using iOS and Android platforms * Experienced a Homejoy cleaning and already know how we work as a client
