Tesla Debate – New Laws to Protect Old Practices (forbes.com)
I am curious to see what a few of you think about the challenges Tesla Motors is facing with selling their cars directly to consumers through their stores, rather than going throughout the Dealers Association.
Personally I feel that the Cars sales business while not stagnant, is also not booming. These new laws are protecting these old business simply because they fear they will take away jobs; but won't these new practices create new jobs and even stimulate our economy more profoundly than these current business practice.
Why do you think these States are so against these Direct Sales? Do we as innovators need to tackle old business practices in our new companies?
