Immersive Summer Programming Courses for High School Students

Hello,

I am hoping to find a summer programming course for my younger brother. He is interested in applying to colleges mainly based on the quality of the computer science programs. I think that he should really be familiar with computer science before he makes that decision (possibly getting stuck at a technical institute). So far the best thing I've found is the flatiron school, but they do not have any information available yet for 2014 admissions. Other schools like the iD Programming Academy look like the programs are good, but I doubt that the courses can be that great if they are aimed at such a larger age range (13-18 year olds). Does anyone have suggestions for programs or reviews of the previously mentioned?

Ultimately, my brother needs more of an encouraging environment. He is not interested in precollege programs. He doesn't need any more academic pressure.
