Imessage on android

i seek reliable info on how to use imessage from my pc or android 'phone. This is my first post. the above title is from a url so the first question is, is it safe (dustin), or does it go through cn servers etc. I should have chosen "amiageekoragook" as my username - i'll save that for next time but that's a secret.
