Ask HN: Best Canvas Animation library

I'm looking for a way to animate with canvas. Currently I'd like to animate some svg files. I was thinking of svg animation, but canvas seems to be a better alternative. What are a lot of common canvas frameworks in use, or was of animation on webpages? Are there any canvas frameworks, that will allow me to do these animations?

What the animations would do are:

- Bird will fly in, land on an object, and the eyes will blink ever so often

- Bunny/Rabbit will hop in, stop, sniff for carrots, look at you, and continue on.

- Camp Fire will wave back and fourth

- clouds & leaves would be moving in the background
