On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity.
Harvard has always been and still primarily remains a boys club. My father got a high-paying job he wasn't qualified for simply because a fellow alumnus/friend needed a "Harvard Man" at his side. I hope she gets the help and support she needs.
