Ask HN: How to get my first users?

I built the site digitalcareersearch.com almost 5 years ago and have never been able to generate any significant interest.

It's a jobs board built solely - as the name would suggest - for digital careers (SEO/PPC/Web Design etc.) The site has always been free to use both as a recruiter and an job-seeker.

I have a limited budget for marketing when it comes to side projects like these - other than a small amount of PPC and e-marketing I haven't really pushed the site out in any way.

Maybe I'm missing an obvious trick - the idea of the site (whilst not as original as when I created it) seems decent and I like to think it's easy to use.

Any help would be appreciated - start up directories / news outlets / marketing tactics - any suggestions will be great.
