Ask HN: What makes a great programmer?

Just curious, as I want to be one. I'm always looking for ways to make my code better, learn more about my chosen language/framework. I get that the ability to "learn how to learn" is a big part of programming also.

So, basically, how do you become the best programmer one can practically become?
