Ask HN: Systems for competitor evaluation

Deep into the customer discovery process, my partner and I have recognized the need to document and track lots of data related to these interviews. Specifically we want a way to track and store information about competitors, almost like a feature matrix. Excel or Google docs can work but I was wondering if anyone knew of tools tailored just for this.
