Quartzy is the world’s #1 lab management platform. For the last five years, tens of thousands of lab managers from academic institutions and pharma and biotech companies have been relying on Quartzy to run their labs efficiently. We are looking for an exceptional full-stack software engineer to help take Quartzy to the next level

What You’ll Do: Design and implement new functionality from the ground up Measure and improve site performance and scalability Create unit and functional tests for new and existing code

What You Should Have:

- Demonstrable experience writing clean, production-ready code in PHP

- Experience with other parts of our technology stack: MySQL, Git, Redis, ZeroMQ, Apache/Nginx

- An entrepreneurial attitude that gets high-quality projects done quickly

- The ability to work efficiently and communicate clearly

- A technologically diverse background and the willingness/ability to quickly learn new technologies

- Scripting experience for automation of tasks

Extra Credit (Nice to Have):

- Working knowledge of front-end technology: JavaScript, HTML, SASS

- Linux system administration experience (maintenance/optimization/scalability)

- Experience with statistics/data analysis using R or similar languages
