Ask HN: Isn't it time to fix App readability

Sorry friends I can't read your Content/UI and that's my problem and believe it or not it yours too.

My question is very simple, when web fonts have become substantially larger in last few years (see medium.com types) why the hell app text & interface sizes, shapes and colors have become obnoxiously painful.

I can see the gray text on white on my mac book, but when I am on the move, sometime under the sun, do you really think lightest & tiniest gray text on whitest background makes sense ?

I have given up few apps cos I simply hate them and those weren't free, they were paid.

1. I hated Tinke' devices iOS UI, I never used more that 2-3 times. I had paid ~100$s for it 2. I don't appreciate MY BASIS ios app either 3. From pure software perspective, I installed Reporter. It's by some facebook guy at 4$+ but I never bothered to check again or even provide feedback.

I gave paid examples above just to illustrate that this abandoning will be of course must faster and higher in free and more affordable products.

Are you going mad as well ? Does app readability needs to be fixed and how ?
