If you are going to insult a man, it costs nothing to do it with style.

For context, see the end of this file: http://guymacon.com/flame.html

Is this perhaps the first ever copypasta? It even predates the Internet!
The best way to get your point across about a technical issue is to suggest eradicating someones genes from the gene pool.

Every comment like this detracts massively from any real debate. Stop being so fucking childish.

This comment was voted below 1 when I found it, but it seems plenty true to me. This is a silly thing to have on the front page of HN; an almost textbook case for the "Flag" button.
Pretty hard to come out with a TL;DR because of the cumulative nature of this text.
While I appreciate the eloquence in the article, it's also quite verbose. There certainly is a time and place for ad hominem attacks, but if your entire argument consists of them it's just one big logical fallacy.

Do like the Texan idiom, though!

I have read some subreddits that look like that.

I suppose in an over the top sort of way it communicates the overall absurdity of how our government as a whole communicates with the people it supposedly is there to serve. Do they really think us that stupid?

From the FCC, IRS, CIA, NSA, FBI, Homeland Security, and more. The level of disdain they express for our rights gives credence to the belief that government can become and is too large to benefit the people.

> government can become and is too large to benefit the people This is gaining more steam, however its not the conservative small government (less public sector employees). Its the belief that countries should divide to be smaller nations.

That way less power/money is controlled centrally. What we are getting is the direct opposite of communism in that wealth is not spread evenly and central planning is happening.

Whilst I like the concept of a European currency, it fails to provide benefits for local regions with differing needs. Germany's economy is built on manufacturing whilst Greece is tourism and agriculture.
