Reasons I want to be rich

I want to be rich. Rich as in, financially independent + I can spend my time how I want and with who I want for long periods of time without worrying about money or needing to work because I have to instead of want to. Rich as in, being able to go to the store and buy groceries, without feeling pain when I open my wallet. Rich as in, traveling the world with my wife instead of talking about how someday we'll be able to do that, or that "that's just how life is". There are a lot of reasons I want to be rich and I think freedom is the biggest one. Freedom to learn new things like, how to cook, new languages, art or maybe just work on fun coding projects. I don't want to work the best years of my life away because I need to pay off the bills every month and cover living expenses. And the last thing: I want to make sure my parents don't end up living off their crap pensions for the rest of their retirement.

I have some selfish reasons for wanting to be rich as well. Also, making money is fun. Especially when it's in your own business. But I think the reasons above are pretty good.
