Ask HN: Traveling to DEFCON from UK, anyone going?

I'm just looking at flights and hotel to travel to the DEFCON conference as it will be something nice to do before I go back to my 2nd year at University, studying a security related course. Is any one on HN going? It appears the RIO hotel is fully book where are people staying that aren't at the RIO?

Any hints or tips would be appreciated when travelling there.
