I think you may have linked to the wrong article. The abstract is about Brown Adipose Tissue...which has weight loss implications, but as far as I know, no direct connection to sleep.
Interestingly, it's received 7+ upvotes regardless, apparently just for the title alone.
What if it is some kind of experiment?
I think this could be some kind of exploit being tested.

The upvotes could be explained by a voting ring or some kind of bot doing it.

But apparently there are not enough people who flagged this, so it remains on the front page.

Looking at the account's comments, they are all a bit different in style, most of them don't seem to have useful content.

Maybe the article is a honeypot to catch bot voters?
Why would a bot vote for this instead of any other article?
Funny that this has 8 upvotes even though the currently linked article, "Temperature-acclimated brown adipose tissue modulates insulin sensitivity in humans", has nothing to do with the title.
and am wondering why its got so many upvotes?
On another note (ignoring the wrong title) can someone explain in layman's terms what this means? My understanding was that temperature acclimation to new temperatures
