Ask HN: Remote freelancing or full time work

Lately I have found and switched to a job that is full time and remote - I love it!

In my contract is the possibility to get a part time job - this is since my employer is non-profit, and feel they could save a few bucks this way.

Now I have tried to apply for a few jobs as a remote position, but have found much reluctance in the other part when I have done so.

Do you find that employers are reluctant to hire remote workers? Have you found a way to convince employers to hire remote workers? What is it that I have to change to get a remote job?
