Amplitude Mobile Analytics (YC W12) is hiring engineers

Amplitude is building the world’s best mobile analytics platform. Mobile devices are the fastest growing technology ever; globally, more people own mobile devices than have electricity or running water. We empower app developers and BI teams to make the best decisions by giving them data-driven insights into their users' behaviors and needs.

We’re looking for back-end engineers to work with our dev team to develop our analytics infrastructure, as well as a front-end engineer who will make sure Amplitude’s customers can navigate our web dashboards and understand their data with ease.

We currently track billions of events every month (on par with some of the largest existing analytics companies), with the constant challenge of developing smart ways to continue scaling up. Mobile is growing like crazy, and analytics is THE most important piece of infrastructure for mobile app developers.

What differentiates us from other analytics platforms out there?

-We can scale while keeping costs low: with some smart engineering (which is where you come in), we scale with our customers at an order of magnitude less cost than the other guys.

-Analytics designed specifically for mobile: we are focused on mobile analytics, and mobile analytics ONLY. This allows us to build a best in class product when other products are working on web analytics or ad networks.

ABOUT US: Everyone says it, but we really do hire people who are not only great at their jobs, but outstanding people in general. Team members include an economics professor from Tufts, MIT Battlecode and web programming competition champions, ACM and Putnam competitors, Teach for America alumni. We have deep experience in large-scale systems and analytics from Google, Palantir, Sumo Logic, and DRW Trading. We also have diverse interests (not just tech!), with backgrounds including economics, neuroscience, solid state physics, and education.
