Ask HN: What does it take to make a successful submission on Product Hunt?

I have submitted my product Social Crawlytics (https://www.socialcrawlytics.com) to PH a couple of times now but have never made it.

What does it take to make a successful submission?

Really frustrating to see a similar product on there and its nowhere as good as what we do.
