FiveStars is seeking a Director of UX Design with a passion for leading successful and innovative design teams. The Director of UX will define the creative process from start to finish, help cross-functional teams have empathy for the user, and coach design and engineering to build usable, useful, and delightful experiences that will create the future of relational commerce.

Requirements: • Demonstrated design leadership and proven experience building successful teams and products • A portfolio showcasing 8+ years of creating and shipping compelling products • Designed or led teams who designed complex, multi-surface product interactions • Grasp and distill complex problems quickly • Balance data-driven decision making with aesthetics • A passion for details and an understanding of how they fit into the big picture • Excellent presentation and communication skills

Responsibilities: • Define and refine the UX design process • Mentor and grow the UX team • Help create the future of relational commerce for both merchants and consumers • Translate complex ideas into elegant, intuitive designs for visual interfaces, flows, and compelling interactions across a wide variety of mediums, including mobile, web, and point-of-sale systems • Help shape and evolve the visual identity of our brand • Advocate for design and collaborate closely with a team of incredible product thinkers, engineers, marketers, and designers

Preferred: • Experience in lean product development and agile environments • Experience with A/B testing and or user research
