My artist guy made me convert my chess game from 2D to 3D. It's worse, not better.
Think about 2D chess programs. They have side view of pieces but place them looking down on the board.
I did not give a fuck when I made the stupid timeout defender game. My artist caused top view of men with just heads and arms, instead of my side view with swords.

I took technical drawing in high school. I have made 3D flight simulators and first person shooters.
