PRODUCT DESIGNER We are looking for a thoughtful, extremely talented designer to join Le Tote’s small (and growing!) team to help us fundamentally shape our product. We’re on a mission to transform the way millions of women interact with their closets, and we’d love to find someone capable of conveying our service through intuitive and elegant design.

As the first product designer at Le Tote, you’ll have the freedom to make key product decisions without much oversight, and the tools and resources to build and ship your ideas quickly. You should be comfortable with autonomy and ownership of large areas of the product.

You will be crucial to the way we invent, design and validate our products. Ideal candidates should also have a healthy sense of humor, a fondness for detail-oriented design, an elevated point of view, and are able to take feedback with a positive attitude.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL • Lead interaction and visual design • Design interactions for a complex product, including effective copywriting • Create visual designs that will make users smile and keep coming back • Create lightweight prototypes to share and validate designs • Have a strong point of view and not be afraid to use it • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product, engineering, and executive teams • Plan research studies to understand and validate product concepts • Work closely with engineers and executives to ensure that the user experience is simple, straightforward, and elegant

REQUIREMENTS • Strong in all the skills needed to see a project through from concept to implementation • Ability to clearly articulate your design decisions & the problems they are solving • Solid portfolio of product design that has been built and shipped to users • Experience with an iterative design process: incorporating feedback, launching quickly, and testing hypotheses • Solid design foundation (typography, grid, form, composition, color, etc.), but ability to keep it weird and break the rules!

WE HOPE YOU HAVE • The ability to bring your designs to life – you know enough HTML & CSS (and maybe even JavaScript) to commit your design directly into the codebase • Experience conducting usability studies • Management experience: you'll start as our first designer, but experience growing a team and building a design culture would be icing on the cake

TO APPLY, PLEASE SUBMIT • Your résumé • Link to your online portfolio • Highlight 2 relevant projects • Bonus points for telling us why you’d be a great fit!
