42 (YC W14) is hiring a full stack engineer
We're looking for a full stack engineer to help implement our next gen physical retail analytics platform.
We make it easy for anyone in the retail organization, from executives to store managers, to make informed decisions based on data. You'd think that large, multi-million dollar fashion empires already do this, but the reality is that they are paralyzed by their legacy infrastructure. We aim to fix that.
The ideal candidate would have no problem writing significant chunks of infrastructure. You are obsessed with clean code and API design. You also have an interest in normalizing tons of dirty data. This is a position for engineer #1, and as such, you will have lots of responsibilities and tremendous impact on the direction of the company.
Experience with retail is not required.
Some projects you'll be working on:
- A/B testing for retailers
- Goal tracking
- Data storage infrastructure
- User management system
- Customer segmentation
- Personalized recommendations
Our stack is composed of: - AngularJS, CoffeeScript, Grunt, Jade
- Microservice architecture
- Mostly NodeJS (not religious about it)
- Postgres, LevelDB, Redis
- Gentoo / CoreOS / Docker
What we can offer: - Competitive salary & equity
- Define our culture and technology direction
- Relocation packages (including help w/ visas)
- Whatever gear you need
- A sweet office in SOMA (San Francisco), with infinite snacks!
Send an email to nick@42technologies.com if you're interested!
