Ask HN: Best Shared Web Hosting for Python Apps

I've used Godaddy a number of times for LAMP-stack applications (I'm not totally sold on them).

I'm looking to downgrade my linode vps to shared hosting on another platform - no need to pay $20/month if I'm hardly using the resources of the server.

As mentioned, I'm looking to decrease that $20 per month bill and use some cheap shared-hosting, to host my existing apps (> 100 hits per month currently) .

I'm specifically developing in Python and need a shared web host to support Python.

Anyone have any good recommendations?

While GoDaddy’s LAMP hosting used to be a bit quirky, there’s since been a lot of updates (cPanel powered) that might be worth another gander. I was able to create a simple API (a lil’ side project to make a smart switch /w a friend) using Python with no trouble on the new cPanel shared accounts. My particular project used Apache, MySQL, Python, and was programmed mostly command-line through SSH, but PHP and gasp Perl are options as well.
