I agree with some of the points in this blog post. However, shouldn't the same advice apply to companies that use the same useless templates to describe development positions and then spend little to no time telling potential candidates about the type of work they will be doing? In today's world, getting a good developer is as hard as getting a good development job.
Absolutely! The problem starts with companies that carry job applications using forms that disallow any type of creativity. I understand that certain job types really don't require a lot, but at least for the tech field, applicants should start focusing more in what really matters.
