Ask HN: Waiting list for Twitter's Fabric

Having decided to give Fabric a try it was disappointing to be added to a waiting list without any indication as to when it would be made available to actually use.

Does anyone here have any insights into this?

Also, will Digits be a paid service, e.g. will Twitter pay to send millions of SMS to users without any benefit?
