This is nice, but what would be really nice is if they gave out slide rules as part of their promotional material. Preferably something 5-6", with W1/W2 scales as seen on the Faber-Castell 62/83N... yeah.

A quick test: When I search for "data structures", or "structure data", for that matter, and filter by "advanced", I get "Advanced Data Structures" as the first match, ahead of stuff on crystals and the like. That's good.

Their "learning paths" seem like a positive-value thing, and surprisingly they seem half-decent. It's not the same as the stickied posts at the top of some forums at programming tutorial websites and the like, telling you how to get started in some subject by choosing between one of 10 recommended books. It's... an actual learning path.

Glad you like it, Sam. You seem to be an expert on -- SlideRules! Want to help create a learning path on them ;-)
Interesting, I've been thinking of expanding on a current website i have http://www.sososwift.com into a general tutorial site. I was thinking more of focusing on crowd-sourcing the free tutorials, similar to my current site, and then having the pay tutorials act as the revenue generator for the site through partnerships. It seems this is mainly focusing on the partnerships, though not all paid?
You are right, @Wuliwong. Our learning paths ("tutorials" comprised of online courses, videos, blog posts etc) are free, and experts help curate them for the joy of sharing their knowledge and giving back to the community. We are working on paid online programs, where learners get 1-1 mentorship and greater engagement with experts and the student community. (ps: I am one of the founders of SlideRule)
