More on Empire Node

It seems that once again I've been censored by the Y Combinator Thought Police. I wanted to respond to @duncan_bayne so I'm starting a new thread.

Duncan, I'm glad you disagreed with some of what Ms. Perch had to say: "(in particular those [statements] surrounding 'demanding the time of a representative', and criticism of the term 'meritocracy')"

Regarding your differing assessment of the tone, I would submit that that has a lot to do with the fact that you were not there in person.

As I said before, she was quite literally yelling. This doesn't quite come across in the video. If you are audio savvy you might notice that her vocals are over-modulated, or "hot" in layman's terms. However, on video it doesn't hurt the ear the way it did for audience members sitting in the room.

I'd also like to point out that it's easy for you not to take it personally. You did not take a day off from work to experience that "presentation." You did not experience that "presentation" with the expectation that it would be about Node JS because after all, you signed up for a Node JS conference.

Regarding your quip about the anonymous nature of my post, I will refer you to an excerpt from another reply: "...I wouldn't anticipate them taking your complaints very seriously at all, and you'll just get labelled for even having the gall to express them here."

Finally, when your two-year-old son is an accomplished professional software engineer you can make comparisons between he and I. Until then it's bollocks.

I did a little digging for context, and: go fuck yourself.
You should know that this is inappropriate on Hacker News, regardless of how provocative some other post may be.
Why is it inappropriate, because you disagree with it?
That was childish and contributes nothing to the conversation.

That's hardly an accurate description. Users flagged your previous post.

Yes, and flagging is a form of censorship is it not?
