Ask HN: Just quit my job to start contracting, need advice on “about me” page

Hi everyone, past week I gave my notice at my current job, because I'm going to start as a contractor in January and now I'm finishing my personal website/portfolio.

I'm a front-end developer with 6 years of experience and a design background.

Writing for yourself is always quite tricky, so I would love to hear from you the best advices for write a modest and confident about page.

How would you expose/differentiate skills and techniques such as: html, css, javascript, angularjs, ajax, object oriented programming, mvc, seo (on-site) and performance optimization?

I also would like to talk about my design background without looks as a designer because I'm mainly focus on development and I want to get developer's contracts rather than design.

Any advice? :)
