Vidpresso (YC W14) is looking for a person who loves events and sales – remote
About you: You should know and understand most aspects of sales and marketing. You should feel comfortable cold calling, building marketing plans, and contacting leads. You should ideally understand how big events and conferences work, the pain points of event producers, and the best people to contact.
Ideally our perfect person would also know how to code, not necessarily to do it every day, but to be able to talk to other engineers on the team about event specific requirements in an informed way.
We prefer to hire people who have something they're extremely passionate about. Most of our team are obsessed with TV. Some are interested in entrepreneurship. You should have a reason for working with us that is either learning new skills (how to work remote, working with an early stage startup, how to code) or you should be suitably obsessed with events or TV production. People with neither don't tend to be great fits for us.
We're a remote team... with team members (and customers) around the world. We try to be extremely flexible, and focus on results rather than hours spent. (Or try to as much as we can.) Many members of the team have families, and we try to encourage work / life balance, while still obsessing over product.
Email salesjobs@vidpresso.com and include why this specific job seems like a good one for you. We'd also like to get an idea of what marketing tactics you like / you've tried / you'd like to try, and if you like, take a look at our website and tell us what sucks about / what you'd fix. (Briefly, we just want to get a sense of who you are / what you think is important, not free consulting)
Vidpresso is funded by YC and the Knight Foundation, among other angels.
