Front end development for a back end engineer?

Hi Guys, What path/books would you recommend to get started on frontend development? I've been doing infrastructure/backend/devops work for a while and am comfortable with several languages, including JavaScript (NodeJS). Are there any good books to get a crash course going or to help me get bootstrapped with front-end work?
