Here is a little more info about what FP Complete is looking for.

FP Complete is looking to hire several new engineers to join our Haskell development team, both to build great new core products and to work on our expanding client projects. Some of our recently announced core products include the Integrated Analysis Platform, Stackage and LTS Haskell, with much more to come.

This will either be a full-time contractor position, or an employee position. This is a telecommute position: you can work from home or wherever you choose, with little or no travel. Location in North America preferred; but you will work with colleagues who are both on North American and European hours

If you’d like to be part of our team and shape the future of Haskell, please send a resume or CV to jobs+dev@fpcomplete.com and visit the link above for the full job listing.

Does this mean fp-complete has gained traction and is growing as a company? Or is this based on funding?

Either way, this sounds like an excellent opportunity for Haskell programmers.

Will you be hiring engineers with professional experience or also programmers fresh out of college?

I think this answers your question: this new phase of hiring is based on new customer work we need to fill, plus increased community involvement we're planning to have. This is not based on any new investor funding.

This round of hiring is for engineers with experience. We are likely going to be opening another round of hiring in the near future (reading: next 5-9 months) for less experienced developers, but the details around that are still murky.
