Modern web framework

back in the days there was a lot of hype around Rails;

nowadays, I want to design a fancy website for local machinery renting/sharing ... and also learn sth in the process.

Would I still go with Rails?

There's also a lot of fuzz around Bootstrap etc etc (Can I combine this with Rails)

Or with wich technology should I go?
