A tool for creating, tracking, and optimizing your startup’s growth strategies
I'm looking to get the HN community's opinion on an application I am thinking of developing. The basic idea is that it is hard to create and keep track of effective content marketing and growth systems and see how they are performing for your startup. For example, how many new paying users did that blog post I wrote bring in? How about trial users? What about the guest post I wrote, did it bring in any new paying customers? If so, how many? It would be great if there was an application to create and organize growth campaigns, and then see, using real data, exactly how those campaigns are affecting your startup.
I want to develop a tool that would allow startups to create goals, like getting 1,000 new users, and then create a growth campaign designed to accomplish that goal, and track its performance.
The tool would help you set up a campaign, create daily action steps to completing the campaign, track its progress toward reaching the goal, and then show you what worked and what didn't so you could optimize it for future goals. It would use real data so you could see right there exactly what parts of the growth campaign helped you reach the goal, and what parts didn't.
What do you guys think? Is this something needed in the startup community? Would you use it? Would you pay to use it?
Thanks so much for your help everyone!
