Ask HN: In the era of VOIP whither the analog fax?

I work for a global telco. We are about to move into a brand new office tower. I was shocked to learn that we will be installing POTS lines for fax machines. With T.38 and G.711 in the marketplace why would any organization do this in a new building? Simply for security?
