Realm (YC S11) is hiring an Android Developer

Realm (http://realm.io) is a mobile database: a replacement for SQLite & higher-level frameworks like Core Data, greenDAO, OrmLite, etc.

Less than a year after our public launch, Realm is already used by tens of thousands of developers, and deployed on well over 100M devices around the world. Our users include big name startups, top-ranked app store successes, Fortune 500 companies, banks & more.

We have 20 employees around the world with headquarters in San Francisco, and an office in Copenhagen, Denmark. We have received funding from YCombinator, Khosla Ventures, Andreesen Horowitz, Greylock, DST Ventures, Crunchfund, SVAngel, Ignition, Redpoint & more.

You would be working alongside an international team of C++ & Android experts to build our open-source Realm Java project (https://github.com/realm/realm-java) — over 1,300 Github stars & counting. The position can be based in Copenhagen or San Francisco, with remote work or relocation assistance possible for the right candidate.

Here are some of the qualities we look for in our Android team:

- Expert in Java & Android

- Good command of the NDK and JNI.

- Experience building frameworks (as opposed to apps) in any language

- Solid experience with mobile app development and handling of data (SQLite, ORMLite, etc.)

- Experience with Dalvik & ART a plus

- Good understanding of low-level language and platform features and issues is a plus

- You keep up to date with development, tools and news in the community
