Ask HN: Macbook Air as WebDev machine?

Dear community of HN, any of you uses a Macbook Air as a developing machine ?

My story: I already have a nice desktop which I use mosr of the time with win8.1 and OSX Yosemite, this was my first time using osx as a dev enviroment and I really really liked it.

But there are times when I need to be ob the go and keep up with thr work, also I sometimes like to work on the couch (I work remote from home).

For this purpose I have a thinkpad x201, but it's starting to fail slowly, also I don't really like the 12" 800p screen.

I'm not really that interested in a retina screen, if I need real estate I already have a couple of good monitors.

And that's why I'm interested on the air, lightweight, good battery life and so.

But I'm curious on how well is the screen and how's the performance on programs such as phpstorm, sublime, macvim, running vagrant boxes, etc.

Can you guys share your stories ? Thanks!
