Denied by YC. PG contradictory.

My application was just denied by YC. Eventhough, according to Paul Graham himself on YC's OWN blog, I gave them exactly what they are looking for. Pay close attention to #1 on their list. (link below)
Disappointed? Yes. Discouraged? No. Just yet another day in the life of another brilliant, undiscovered and struggling entrepreneur. We are abundant. Ive been on this road before. Will just continue to build my startup, bootstrap the funding myself, and make it happen. Lookout for mindUNsigned.com. YC missed out.
Startup Ideas We'd Like to Fund Paul Graham July 2008 http://ycombinator.com/ideas.html

This is the kind of thing you should wait a few days to post.
Don't forget though that your presenting a solution to the problem expressed in that blog.

If the solution didn't excite them it's hardly contradictory :)

Good luck with it though; sounds exciting!

I've flagged this, not because I think it's inappropriate, but because I think you might regret phrasing it as you have. I agree with davidw - I think you should wait a few days, then put up a post.

It's great that you're not discouraged. Just because you didn't excite them, it doesn't mean you don't have something great. But I think you should wait a few days, then think again about your exact wording.

On the other hand, maybe you've said exactly what you want, and having said it, you can move on.

Whatever you decide - Good Luck!

One of the issues with 'startup ideas that we'd like to fund' as I perceive it is that people might interpret it as 'if you come to us with this idea we will fund it'.

And that just simply isn't the case, you will have a better shot at it, but it is not a guarantee.
