Love these guys -- been using them as a tester for NYC, and they most definitely did up the rate I was getting for my AirBNB by at least 30%. Haven't run the final #s yet but they're good.

Kam started with us 2 days ago. If he didn't think it's a great idea and a great product, then I would be pretty sure I'd hired the wrong person.
It would be nice of a "Head of Growth" would know how to be a upfront and honest person when praising his employer online. But then I guess "growth" has seldomly anything to do with those ethics.
Maybe I'm just feeding the trolls here, but why? He wasn't hiding it. I can see a disclaimer needed for something that's open to bias like "competitor X sucks and beyond is way better", but just for saying he likes what we've done?

He had nothing to do with this fundraise, he's had nothing to do with the product so far. He saw the link on HN, said he thinks it's great. I hired him because he thinks it's great.

I was a beta tester of Smarthost (smarthost.me) and it helped me rent out my house for SXSW for the first time. Well worth the money!
I'm glad to see this idea implemented! I'm friends with a hotel guy who does week-by-week price adjustments and we were thinking of doing something like this a year ago, but we never took it further than a few emails.
You still have time to penetrate into the hotels niche.
You might want to not invite your sockpuppets to vote and comment, it leaves this post in a very bad light for me. Close to flagging as spam but seeing as there are already other good comments and discussion, I did not.
I submit lots of stories about my co to HN. Most of them get no votes or comments. If I had "sockpuppets" I hope I'd have a better track record.
