Flexport is a platform for global trade. As a global logistics company built around a modern web application, our goal is to make it easier for the next generation of brands to get their products to market.

Paul Graham says,"Flexport is one of those rare startups that will not merely satisfy its market, but grow it. There will be more international trade because of Flexport, and international trade is a very big thing for there to be more of."

We've raised $6.9M from great investors including Google Ventures, Bloomberg BETA, First Round Capital and others. And we've reached product-market fit with over $1M in monthly revenue, so we're now looking to build out our team here in San Francisco.

Data Analyst:

We’re looking for our first data analyst to help us identify the questions we should be asking, and answer them. You should be passionate about data and moving our business forward through thoughtful analysis.

What you’ll do:

* Think about Flexport’s business problems and find answers to them.

* Assist the product team in understanding the efficacy of existing features and provide guidance on the product roadmap.

* Identify useful metrics, and set up graphs and reports to track these metrics.

* Work with the management team to build weekly and quarterly reports.

* Provide tools that the entire team can use to find their own answers to data questions.

What you’ll need:

* Proficiency with one programming language.

* Knowledge of SQL and ideally PostgreSQL syntax.

* Strong knowledge of A/B testing setup and interpretation of results.

* Strong understanding of product design.

* 1-3 years experience in engineering or data science.

Our Stack:

* We use Periscope.io to present data and graphs.

* Our data is stored in Postgres on AWS with plans to use Redshift.

How to Apply:

* Email your resume and a note about why you're the right person for this position to jobs@flexport.com
