Ask HN: Friend refuses to pay for website

Normally I never ever do this but this was a friend I knew and trusted so I agreed to help his business setup their commerce website.

When I asked today when he would pay me he replied soon. When I pressed again he started to get angry and threatened that if I take him to court he has lawyer buddies.

I'm amused how night and day someone can be when it comes to money.

I wasn't even thinking of legal option. I don't know what to do. What would you do?
