Ask HN: Had a BizDev meeting with a potential partner, and I want to work for them

I had a BizDev meeting with a potential integration partner, and I was unexpectedly blown away by their product and vision.

They're relatively new (though they have an incredibly talented team), I have expertise in their industry, and I can't stop thinking about how awesome it would be to work for them. I've emailed back-and-forth with them a few times about the partnership with my current company (which I will be responsible for if it goes through), and I feel like I'd regret it forever if I didn't ask about an opportunity to work for them.

Should I give them (my conversations have been with the CEO) a call and just put it on the table? I've been thinking about leaving my current company for several months anyway, and knowing this company is out there has been eating away at me.
