Ask HN: Whatever happened to dojo?

The dojo javascript library seems to have lots of utility mechanisms, lots of UI components, require functionality, etc for javascript. The community seems somewhat active, but I have heard very very little about it. Is there a reason for this? Are there any haters of dojo out here willing to share their reasons, or maybe any proponents who can shed some light into the health of the project?
