Ask HN: How do you continue working on hackathon projects?

Hi HN,

Often after hackathons great project ideas are just left to die on github.

I was wondering how you managed your hackathon projects? How do you find the best way to continue the project? How do you deem a project worth continuing? How do you organise the team if you continue it as a team?

Recently I have seen hackathons as better opportunities to work on great ideas and I have been wondering how to continue some projects. I would love to hear from people about their experiences.
