Ask HN: How much should a consultant make based on company billing rate?

Is there a standard split that you might see in the industry for consultants? For example if the company charges $200 an hour for a consultant, how much would you expect the actual consultant to make? I've heard of people making $30 an hour and the company charging $300, is that common?
