Ask HN: Tourism in the San Francisco Bay Area

My family is going to San Francisco in a couple weeks, and since most people here live/work there, I figured some of you would have some recommendations of things to see.

I'm obviously interested in the Silicon Valley stuff, so anything accessible there would be appreciated too.
