Ask HN: What skills can I learn that will combine interests in film and code?

I'm a 23 year old with a BA in Film Production. I work for production companies on commercials / short docs, and also produce videos myself for companies. But I've always been passionate about programming and tech in general.

I'm taking HarvardX's CS50 course, but sometimes it feels like I won't ever apply any of that knowledge.

What skills should I learn, which may help me combine passions for video making / visual art and programming?
