The fact that this article got any votes at all is evidence of a stark drop in quality at HN.
I don't know. Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert, often writes about how minorities should just work harder, stop complaining, and move some where else. But he even posted a piece about the times he thinks he benefited from being white.

This post is really weird. He keeps emphasizing the fact that when he was younger he had no such power, now that he's old he can boss people around, but somehow he puts that under "white privilege". He was white when he was younger.

I would say this is age privilege. No one wants to fuck with old people regardless of race I think.

It's not that white privilege is real or not, but that there is no reason for constant articles about it on hn. In this case there was a "life hacking" angle, but as far as I can tell the author is applying this label to someone who isn't really related to the life hacking movement. So while not intentionally click baity, the title makes the article seen more relevant than it is.
Tl;DR James Altucher is a self-promoting jackass. This we've known for a long time. If you ready a paragraph from any of his work, you'll see this very quickly.

Moving on.

The only value I can find in this article is that it might be the most brain melting conjecture-filled piece of shit I've ever read. This blogger is nothing but an SJW troll.
Few things make me as angry as hearing of people who unfairly talk themselves into a fashion show.
After reading the Quora post about getting into an event and playing ping-pong without paying I wasn't too impressed.

The rules would be more strictly enforced if more people tried breaking them or the pay-off from each breaking was bigger. He just found a few rules in which neither incentive to enforce was big enough. No big deal.

So the examples (a white guy attempted to cut a line and failed) are really weak, I'm sure there are bigger issues for minorities than this.
