As an American, it is stunning to hear a politician make so much sense on a topic involving the NSA. Where there is lack of oversight, there is abuse, and we very clearly do not have functional oversight.
Look at it from the prosecutor's point of view: he can't possibly win a case against NSA, but he can win one against two small time web-journalists. Where is his time better spent in order to put another win in his CV?
