If people had to allocate mental capacity to understand lots of stuff... the economy would be a whole lot smaller my friend. Trade offs and specialisation.
Theres a faulty mindset on here - where people view things as zero sum. When S Jobs arrived back at Apple the mentality was not to compete with MSFT on everything and to co-operate where it made sense. Positive sum.
