Ubuntu with their snaps, "cloud init" etc. is garbage and seems to be getting worse. Pop OS should probably not build on Ubuntu for this reason -- unless Ubuntu changes course..

No it doesn't. It proooobably actually costs way more in Holland because of higher taxes and govt fees on everything. Hidden (tho not very well) costs and price.
